Time for the Duck Confit experts to chime in!

I%26#39;m making reservations at only one restaurant - our last night in Paris - it will be 5 people - 3 New Yorkers and 2 Parisians - and, ostensibly for my 50th Bday. I like a not-formal but great food restaurant and the one must is that it MUST have great duck confit for my husband. Casual, comfortable, bustling, intimate - all fine as long as it%26#39;s not fussy/formal.

These are the recommendations that have been given to me:

Florimond

Trou Gascon (goose not duck though)

Florimond

l%26#39;Os a Moelle

Maison Courtine

l%26#39;Oulette

Chez Flottes

Maceo

L%26#39;Encrier

Now I really have to make a decision and a reservation for late-November.

Many thanks!

We had an absolutely fabulous duck confit in a restauramt called Josephine Chez Dumonet. Small, looks as if Humphrey Bogart would come in amy minute. Great food, atmosphere and prices. Mostly locals with just a few of us tourists.

A not-at-all fancy, but authentic bistro with superbe duck confit is Le Petit Caboulot, 6 place Jacques-Fromet. Given the occasion though, I would probably choose Au Trou Gascon from your list.. The chef/owner, Alain Dutournier is wondrful.
