transfer between cdg 2D and 2E

I am traveling from houston to paris on AF and supposed to arrive at terminal 2D. Then transfer to another AF flight in 2D. The connection time is only 55 minutes. Is that enough time to get from one gate to another? That terminal looks HUGE!

Thank you for your help!

When you booked your ticket, was the second leg of your trip part of the total fare?

sorry, in your post it says %26#39;arrive 2D, transfer 2D%26quot; in which case you%26#39;re fine. If you meant %26#39;arrive 2D, transfer 2E%26quot;, you might want to read the many posts on this topic. Some good info, most of the posts are within the past few days.

I had the same problem. 65 minutes connection time to get from 2D to 2E. Many of the replies on this website say you need at least 2 hours connection time between flights because this airport is so chaotic, although this is a legitimate time that AF allows. I changed my flight because I was so worried and paid $200.00 change fee each, for three tickets ($600.00). I decided that it was worth it then to take a chance of missing my second flight and possibly having to wait until the next day. Maybe I am foolish but I did it.

2 weeks ago, i transfered from 2F to 2D. Based upon that experience, 55 minutes should work for 2E to 2D. You will go through passport control in 2E and then go through security in 2D. The security points in 2D are very close to the gates. Don%26#39;t take the intra-terminal bus, so ignore the brochure that AF gives out at check in and the in flight/on board video.

|||

why not take the intra-terminal bus?

Because it%26#39;s like a sightseeing bus tour for maniacs who just love to spend their time riding around airport buildings. It takes forever.

I transfered between terminals 2E and 2F in 50 minutes and I made - but just.

I pushed my way to the front of the immigration queue. Most people understood when I asked if I could cut in front.

Then I ran between the two terminals (up and down escalators, across bridges etc..). I didn%26#39;t think it was very well signposted (but maybe that%26#39;s because it was all a blur).

I went to the front for the x-ray check-in as well (again, I explained to the security guy). I was on the last bus from the terminal to the plane but I made it. My flight from Hong Kong had been delayed but they held the plane for us.

It can be done but it%26#39;s stressful and I was pretty anxious while waiting in immigration. If you try it, make sure you take a look at the terminal maps now so you kind of know where you need to go. Also, make sure your bags are booked all the way through to your final destination. It buys you a little extra time as they have to remove your bags from the flight if you miss it and that%26#39;s a hassel for them.

Transferred from 2F to 2C with one and half hours transit time and made it with no problems. And we used the airside bus; it did not take forever this tim at least. Security lines not long, and everything smooth. We had no difficulties following the perfectly adequate signpostings, and staff were very helpful.

I guess the sign postings must be better between 2F and 2C unless you are trying to have a personal shot at me - which I think is unnecessary. I merely said that I did not think the signage was great.

It%26#39;s probably also easier when you have that extra 40 minutes and you%26#39;re only coming from the UK rather than spending 22 hours travelling...

Surely it%26#39;s better for the OP to be prepared before they go if possible. ...

Waltzing Matilda,.

Sorry but I didn%26#39; even read your post, so I could not have been taking a shot at you as you say. I just read the OPs post, and related my own personal experience. And coming back I was travelling long haul incidentally.
