My husband and I are traveling around France in a couple weeks and I thought we would spend the weekend in Paris before flying out Sunday. But, hotels are scarce and we%26#39;ve both spent time in Paris... so now we%26#39;re thinking we%26#39;ll stay in Mont St Michel and Normandy and then sleep by the airport on Saturday before flying out.
Any suggestions for reasonable hotels (less than $100 US) near CDG? Airport shuttle would be good so we could drop off the rental car Saturday when we got there.
Also - you think I will have trouble finding hotels in Mont St Michel (Thursday) and Normandy (Friday)? We will be in La Baule and Amboise earlier in the week. Thanks

Plenty to choose from. We%26#39;ve used the Comfort Hotel le Mesnil (part of the Quality/Comfort Inn chain) which is located in a small hamlet just outside of CDG. No frills but was clean and has a shuttle bus plus restaurant with a.m. and p.m. buffet. I think you can get a fairly comprehensive listing at www.paris-cdg.com/hotels.html.

Sometimes you can get lucky with airport hotels through hotels.com as well. There are many lower priced chains at CDG (e.g., Holiday Inn Express).

I almost always stay here:
ibishotel.com/ibis/…fiche_hotel.shtml
It is very clean and quite comfortable. Not sure which date you will be arriving, so Rugby may be an issue.
I checked a random date of Oct. 3rd and the rate was 73 euros for a double room. Rates range from 50 to 90 euros and you can reserve online.
There are several IBIS hotels surrounding CDG. The one I linked is the one I prefer.
If you arrive early in the day, you can walk (about 25 minutes) to a large shopping center to pass the time - if you wish. Front desk can tell you which direction to walk.
They also have a free shuttle to the airport. If you are taking the shuttle FROM CDG to the hotel. Be sure you get on the right IBIS shuttle - just show the driver the hotel address to make sure he goes to THAT IBIS.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express in July for $75 (not euros) for a double which included breakfast (opens at 6:30am). They have a shuttle to the airport.

There are hotels that are right near each terminal.(If I remember correctly).....ie there is an Ibis within walking distance of terminal 3.
I would check the various hotels and see if they are %26quot;walkable %26quot;from your terminal.
Otherwise,we did catch a shuttle to the Radisson and it was very nice and not too expensive.
Enjoy...
