We are coming in on a cruise ship next April and are trying to locate a good driver who can drive the two of us from the port to Aix for a look around, then lunch and then back early in the afternoon...does anyone have a good driver who isn%26#39;t TERRIBLY expensive? $450 Eu was quoted to us and that is way too high...
Thanks, Sherry

Have you tried the major car agencies, such as Hertz and Avis? They usually have cars/drivers. Alternatively, you could take the train to and from Aix and just walk around on your own, which is IMO the best way to see the town.

Try this ter-sncf.com/Images/FH12-Marseille-Aix-en-Pr…
There are long term works (until December 2008 according to the SNCF website) on the line between Marseille and Aix, so there is a replacement bus service. 13 € return.
Alternatively, there are still trains to Aix-en-Provence TGV station, which is outside Aix and served by a shuttle bus service.

Thank you..that%26#39;s great..if we don%26#39;t find a driver we will do that! S.

You could even travel by bus - very economical and might be convenient also. Scroll down to the end of the website below.
