Will be in Villefrance 1day off a ship in October.

What is the weather like at this time of year? Is it beach weather at all? ANy wineries to see. Any info would help. We are 2 gals travelling.

Thank you,

Weather on the French Riviera is generally better than that of the rest of France. That said, October is not July. Its moving towards the rainiest month of the year - November. As for any particular day - toss a coin? Its variable so there is no point speculating - take it as you find it. A good chance it will be fine, but equally it may be sun and cloud or dull grey.

We were on the Millennium 2 years ago and stopped in Villefranche.

Because 2 out of 4 had been there before, we felt comfortable renting a car and visiting the spots that we chose.

Otherwise, I would do some work on what might interest you and hop the train...right in Villefranche.

Nice is close and has a wonderful market area.

You will be pleased with whatever you see in France.

There is a lady who was mentioned on these posts....who does individual tours....maybe ?Sylvia...and people seemed pleased with her tours.Perhaps someone will provide that info for you.

Enjoy,

Sharon
