Hotel Stella on 20 avenue Carnot

Hi everyone,

I can get a great rate on the Hotel Stella (the hotel, not the hostel) which is on 20 avenue Carnot for about 105 EUR per night. It%26#39;s very close to the L’Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysées. But there is only one review on it (which was positive). Website is http://www.hotelstella.com

For a first timer visitor to Paris, do you think it%26#39;s a good hotel? It appears close to the Metro and RER from the map on the hotel website. Can I get to all the major attractions easily from this hotel? Is it in a safe area for walking back from the Metro at night?

If not, is there anything else you%26#39;d recommend under 150 EUR a night? Hotel Louvre Sainte Anne is available for about 30 EUR more which is a bit more close to the %26#39;action%26#39;.

Thank you!

I don%26#39;t know the hotel, but from what I read it sounds good. It%26#39;s about 200 m to the metro/RER at Charles de Gaulle-Etoile (metro lines 1,2 and 6, RER line A) which sounds perfect.

For a three-star hotel it is definitely not expensive (although the €12 breakfast is not cheap) - so maybe you shouldn%26#39;t expect too much luxury.

You can find some more reviews by using google (search words %26quot;hotel stella paris avenue carnot%26quot;).

We stayed at 1 avenue Carnot at Hotel Splendide Etoile and it is extremely conveneient. Arc de Tripomhe and Champs E

Sorry about the aborted earlier post. As I was saying, the Arc and Champs Elysess are at your doorstep. Are seems safe at night, Good cafes nearby, but don%26#39;t expect a charming market setting, as it is very urban and busy.

Metro/RER stop at 1 Ave Carnot serves 2 lines and makes it a breeze to travel through the city. GoogleMap show 20 Ave Carnot to be about 50 meters from the metro. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you everyone. Unfortunately this hotel was booked for just one of the nights when I went to go ahead, so I ended up booking the Mercure Paris Opera Garnier on 4 rue de l Isly. It was 118 EUR but includes breakfast, and is a closer walk to the Louvre etc, and has a few Metro stops. Review seem ok for a three star. It will have to do, darn Rugby world cup :-)

Cheers!
