TGV station

Hi,

We%26#39;re looking to take the TGV train from Paris to Reims in October for a day trip. On the SNCF website lists the arrival station in Reims, and the departure station to Paris is listed as Champagne-Ardenne.

I have found the Reims station on a map, but not the Champagne-Ardenne station. Anyone know a good online map of Reims that might help us out.

Thanks.

Howdy family,

They are the same station.

If I remember right, the TGV arrives and departs from Platform 2.

Sorry, I have no maps.

Reims is a great city!

Happy trails,

SandBilly

Reims is in Reims dowtown

Champagne-Ardenne is a new station, in Bezannes - about 5 km from Reims

You have trains (TER) and busses between both stations

If you want to visit the champagne houses in Reims, then Reims is the station you are after.

I did the day trip to Reims from Paris a few months ago and was slightly disappointed. I expected champagne houses amongst vineyards, but it was more like large commercial looking champagne houses amongst a slightly industrial city. I have a feeling Epernay might be a bit %26#39;traditional%26#39;?

Thanks for the information.

There are some bus tours of Epernay wine houses and vineyards.

We took the train to downtown Reims. Then we toured the area for two days. One day for the city pass of all the sites and the second day for visiting all the Champagne Houses!

You need a car or a taxi ride to get to them. Some are very interesting. You may also need advance reservations ....but since you are going during a non peak time probably not!

It is a very enjoyable town and we had a great time! It is so different from Paris.
