I%26#39;m arriving on a Monday evening at Charles de Gaulle airport. How do I get to the St. Paul Metro stop in the Marais? Thanks much.

This one is easy. Take the RER B to Chatlet, then Metro 1 to St. Paul, direction chateau de vincennes

If you definitely need to be at St Paul, changing at Chatelet is the best option.
But Chatelet is a horrible station and best avoided if at all possible. This is because it%26#39;s enormous underground and you can spend five minutes walking along underground passages changing from one line to another. It%26#39;s really a combination of several stations all combined under the same name.
If you are aiming for somewhere north of St Paul, you could instead get off the RER at Gare du Nord and take the metro to Breguet-Sabin. (Line 5, direction Place d%26#39;Italie.)
Gare du Nord is a big station, too, but it%26#39;s not quite as bad for changing trains as Chatelet. From Breguet-Sabin it%26#39;s only about a five-minute walk to somewhere like Place des Vosges, which is probably the main site in the Marais.

Depending on where you need to get to (and local weather) in the neighborhood of SAINT PAUL Metro....you best bet may just be to ride the RER %26#39;B%26#39; ligne to SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME station (ride one of the end cars of the train) and come up to street level on Ile de la Cité (there are escalators up to street level here) and walk the few blocks back to your destination. On terms of time and walking distance...it probably won%26#39;t take any longer or be any farther than id you made the long underground Correspondance from the RER portion of the sprawling station complex at Chatelet-Les Halles (up at the Lefoe Les Halles shopping complex) to the #1 Metro portion of Chatelet (along rue de Rivoli)...or the Correspondance from the RER %26#39;B%26#39; to #5 Metro then walk to your final destination.
Another altermative is to take the RER %26#39;B%26#39; as far as CHATELET-Les HALLES, take the escalators up to street level and sinply take a Taxi Parisian from the regular taxi ranks there the short (probably within 5,75€ minimum fare range) to your final destination.

You may already have tried the RATP routefinder webpage but just in case you haven%26#39;t seen it, have a look at www31.ratp.info/touristes/index.php…
The webpage seems to be rather unforgiving about spelling mistakes. You have to spell Aeroport Charles de Gaulle correctly to get it to recognise the name.
I tried routes to rue St Gilles and rue Pas de la Mule (I assume you%26#39;re staying at Pavillon de la Reine!) and got a variety of responses depending on whether you chose the fastest route, the least walking, or the fewest changes.
I%26#39;d be inclined to exclude bus options on the webpage if you have a lot of luggage.

And another option is to take the Roissy Bus from CDG to Place de l%26#39;Opera. Then the metro line 7 to Pont Marie. Just a few blocks to walk to St. Paul. That will allow you avoid the awful Chatelet station. I think the bus is the BEST option if you have baggage--much better than RER--there is more storage room and no steps!!
