Group of six adults where to stay?

Two day visit in December. 6 adults: 2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 teens. Will be leaving via Eurostar to London. Should we stay near train station, or near attractions? Any advice? Help!

Unless you%26#39;re really into trains (LOL), stay in the center of things! For that many people, consider one of the larger apartments rather than three hotel rooms - for the price you probably could do very well in terms of space and be much more comfortable (although a stay of less than three nights may have a surcharge). Better yet, stay three nights!

Thank you for advice. I will look into apartment in center of things.

yeah,,,,,train station vs. Louvre...ha!

Just concerned about finding way back to Eurostar.

Very easy - you get into a taxi and say, %26quot;Gare du Nord, s%26#39;il vous plait!%26quot; If you are in a hotel, they will call the taxi - if you are in an apartment, they will certainly have the number (along with much other useful information) or if you don%26#39;t have a lot of luggage, you can take the Metro.

Have fun!

If this is your first time to Paris. I recommend you stay in a hotel nearer the attractions that you want to visit.

You will have access to a hotel clerk or concierge for information.

Apartments for two days are usually difficult to come by.

One disavantage of an apartment with 4 adults and two teenagers is the restroom configuration!

In a hotel each room will have facilities. We put our two daughter in a room next to us and we were sure glad we did!

I like Hotel Andre Latin in the 5 e....but you may want to be closer to the center yet.

Hotel Andre Latin has internet specials. You might want to check it out.

Also you can get some great deals on Venere site.

Don%26#39;t worry about finding your way back to the train station ( Gare du Nord%26quot;) you can just grab a taxi ( you%26#39;ll need two) it shouldn%26#39;t be more then 10 euros per cab, and it could be less, depends on where you are staying and traffic.

Get a look at any tourist type map of Paris and you will see the main attractions are all within a reasonable distance of each other,, except for Sacre Coeur which is a bit farther out. Most people like to stay between the Eiffel Tower in the south and Notre Dame in the north, anywhere along the river or 5 or 6 blocks inland .. this is all rough estimates. Get a hotel in the Latin Quarter or St Germain area and you should be well pleased with your ability to walk to many sites, or grab the bus or take the metro.

Read these boards,, they will really help, and check out the hotel reveiws on this site, they are submitted by readers, and I have used them three times to find hotels and been happy with results. Click on left hand side of screen %26quot; Paris Hotels%26quot; and start reading.

Good luck and have fun, planning is half the fun!
