Weather

It%26#39;s almost time for my trip (mid October), and I am starting to pack my bags, how is the weather. I went to weather.com and it indicated that it%26#39;s in the fifties. I%26#39;m from Florida, so that sounds cold. Is it breezy there? Rainy? Sunny and chilly? I want to make sure that I pack appropriately.

Any advice will be helpful.

I%26#39;m from sunny California. I can only speak for myself, but when I%26#39;m walking around Paris, and it%26#39;s about 60 degrees, cloudy, maybe sprinkling, I get hot wearing a t-shirt and jacket ( not a wool, thick parka, I mean like a suit-weight jacket).

If it%26#39;s raining, 50 degrees means a long sleeve shirt over a under-garment type tank and a rainjacket. Again, walking around kicks up the metabolism a bit. And most of time the underground %26#39;metro%26#39; is quite warm.

You%26#39;ll get a lot of comments on this forum about %26#39;layering%26#39;, and that%26#39;s really the trick. I%26#39;ll wear a thin tank, t-shirt over it, and the jacket, and then I%26#39;ll throw my v-neck lightweight wool sweater into my tote, in case I get cold.

Much easier temps to deal with in Paris than Manhattan...between buildings, those shadow areas were freezing, and the department stores had their heat cranked up.

That%26#39;s my two cents. Have fun.

Thanks.
