PARIS flea markets and boutique hotel for 3

my 2 girlfriends and i are planning a trip to paris in spring %26quot;08. our destinations are the moderately priced flea markets of paris (is there such an animal?). we also would like to find a small boutique hotel, again moderately priced, in the epicenter of the flea markets. the left bank was suggested to us. we%26#39;ve never been to paris before. also, any suggestions on airfare (from detroit)? HELP!

How about Hotel Select ? They have executive triples.

I have friends staying there next week so I will check it out then

I%26#39;m slightly confused by what you mean by epicenter of the %26quot;flea markets%26quot; in conjunction with staying on the left bank ... ? The largest and most well known flea market is in the north of Paris, the Left Bank is south of the Seine.

I assume you will want to see the main sights as well. If you let us know what you are expecting to find in the markets (second hand clothes, furniture ... ) maybe we can help to pin down a locality where you can start looking for hotels.

now you know i know little about paris geography! from what you said, we will get a quaint hotel in the north of paris, close to st.-ouen market. i%26#39;m not sure that we have anything specific to purchase - we will be browsing most of the time, with an eye out for a great find. we are primarily interested in the parisian flea markets.we do plan to take a tour bus, and a seine cruise, to scope out the city . any suggestions? thanks

we loved the Portes de Vanves market on an early sunday morning. find it a block away from the metro stop of the same name.
