Has anyone stayed at the Chateau de Challain just outside of Angers? I can%26#39;t seem to find any reviews. www.chateauchallain.com

Dear Sir,
As an owner of a elegant travel agency that specializes in pampering our private clients I decides to check out Chateau Challain to see if it was compatable with our privacy demands as well as our luxury demands . The Castle actually exceeded our expectations. Of the 6 clients we have sent to the castle all have given Rave reviews for the following reasons.
Privacy has always been afforded to our clients and yet the owners are American and are excellent in entertaining and are very fun people to socialize with when our clients want company. They have taken our clients on Rides around the 100 acres with the 6 Honda 4 wheel drive Quads they have .Right now we have a famous American musician and his wife staying there for a week.
Luxury in this castle is beyond what we expected. I am very demanding and I would and could stay there anytime. The Beds are even shipped in from America and are the finest Quality.
Huge rooms, Huge Bathrooms and the 76,000 sq ft Castle is huge enough to take you hrs to see. The owners son is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and is there 3 months a year.
A Plus for us is they keep out the media when we need privacy.
Also we have higher demands then the normal traveler which were all happily met with with reasonably low prices.

In sum, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed and will continue to use it as long as the owners only allow a certain amount of people to stay there at a time so that it doesn%26#39;t get to crowded. Currently it is 4 couples at a time. Most times we take the whole Castle for privacy so check availability.

Is it possible to stay at Chateau de Challain and still be able to visit the other chateaux (like the people who stay in Tours do) or is it too far away from the rest?

We took a chance and stayed in 2005. Is was wounderful.

Besides the chateau itself, what else is there to visit around?

The two closest chateaux are Brissac and Montegeoffroy. The latter is a private residence, untouched by the revolution, with original furnishings. Brissac is very interesting also.

Beside the Angers Chateau, of course.
