Just got back from Paris again, was there at christmas and the weather was much nicer and allowed more comfort in exploring the city .
Here is my hotel review.
This hotel is directly across from the Eiffel tower. It is a large business hotel , looked more catered to the business crowd. There are two train stations about 5 minute walk away, one from which you can connect to the airport from. There’s not really much else by it except the few Eiffel tower restaurants and gift shops. The room was large and roomy and clean. I ordered from room service although quite expensive it was very good food. I received two free cocktails for being a Hilton Honors guest. Alcoholic beverages are cheaper in the mini bar than at the hotel bar although both are quite expensive. It was a very quiet hotel, large the outside is not that attractive but the lobby and bar and restaurants area are. It was a good value. And yes everyone was right its in a very quiet area.
Two other points not relating to Hilton
Louvre- followed Rick Steve%26#39;s advice of entering through the subway entrance and i skipped the long line outside. bought tickets at the automated ticket machines and basically walked right in!!
I loved the Notre Dame area, i did a crepe test and the crepe stands in this area were the best, plus there are tons of shops, restuarants internet cafe it was so much more lively than the eiffel tower area where we were staying. If you want to climb up the tower, there is a looooooooooooong line longer than the eiffel tower, i would go in the evenings.

I just returned from Paris and also stayed at the Hilton. We were there for 7 nights and used my reward points. They upgraded us to the Executive floor and this included use of the executive lounge.
The view of the Eiffel Tower was spectacular from the room...what a view! The lounge was great. Just recently made it much larger and the crowd was a mix of business and vacation guests. The food that they provided was good and all the champagne and other drinks were free too. Needless to say..we enjoyed the lounge several times a day. The staff in the lounge was friendly and provided you with some helpful information about Paris...just needed to ask.
The staff was excellent, the rooms were spotless and the housekeeping staff was delightful. The metro was one block away. If you walked along Suffern you will find many local restaurants and business shops. You can walk to Napoleon’s Tomb and the Rodan museum....the 82 bus runs along Suffern and a short walk to the Eiffel tower allows you to pick up the Open Tour bus or Batobus on the Seine. I thought it was a nice area to stay, especially if you have rewards or want to add to your points. Easy to get a cab from the hotel too.

What is the name of the Hilton hotel you stayed at? Is this also near the Air France bus stop? Thanks.

I stayed at the Hitlon Paris on Suffern. I took a taxi from the CDG airport and it cost about 60 euro. Depends on the traffic...it was less to go home! Not sure about the bus stop for airfrance. You may want to check their website...the hotel is a short walk from the Eiffel Tower.

There is a Arch de Truimph Hilton that would be near Air France stop.

Thanks for the mini reports, always enjoy other peoples reports, I do hope you have posted hotel reveiws, as anyone wanting to stay at these Hiltons will of course look in the reviews, and this post will eventually sink away. LOL.
I agree with Prissyshay, the crepe stand on the corner , near Notre Dame and across the street from the line for ST Chapelle, makes the best cheese, ham and tomato crepe ever!!! Fresh poured crepe, handfuls and handfuls of cheese. beautiful slices of grandfathers ham,, fresh tom he cut right in front of us, all for 5 eruos,, who says lunch has to be expensive in Paris. !

What is meant by %26quot;grandfathers ham%26quot; please?

I guess is could also be known as %26quot;old fashioned ham%26quot; , not too salty or smoky, but flavourful and delicate, on the lean side. Not pressed or boiled, but thin sliced baked style.
the cheese is white, gruyere perhaps,, I am not sure, but certainly not the processed junk that is a staple at fast food stands here in North America!

hmmmmmmmm i can taste it again :)
