Waiting for the train back wondered into town - found Le Tsablo on right hand side up the hill. Was empty when first went in but a bit worried however food was excellent and reasonably priced. Was full by the time we left and chatting to a few of the other tables found people who used it as their regular on annual ski trips so hopefully consistent.

hi, the town of bourg-saint-maurice has many excellent restaurants
in fact in BSM all the restaurants serve great food, the following are my personal favourites- Le Refuge alt810, La Tarteflette, Hostillerie du Petite saint Bernard, and Ski Roc also i know it is not in BSM (but is based at the bottom of the Aiguille Rouge ski run in Le Pre ) La Ferme is also a great place to while away a couple of hours for dinner.
All the places to mention are all family owned and run by the locals and a starter, main, sweet with cheese board coffee and a substantial helping of the local genepi can be had for around £16 - £25 per head ,with many doing set menues for as little as £12.
Bookings are usualy a good idea,as you have found they soon become very busy(french evening meals get going around 8 pm).
If you are in Bourg in the near future try the others as you will not be dissapointed.
many regards.
