Does anyone know if there is a direct train from Nice to Milan or do you have to change in Ventigmilia ?

Hello,
There are a few direct trains, and some that require changes in either Ventimiglia or Genoa.
Try www.voyages-sncf.com for details
Hope this helps

There is definitely a direct train from Nice to Milan because I have it booked for November. Check raileurope.com

Sorry firstladybush - I just noticed you are from France so I guess raileurope.com won%26#39;t work for you but nevertheless there is a direct train. Good luck.

We%26#39;re planning that route right now...there are some trains going direct to Milan, but for others you will have to transfer in Ventimilla. We need to be in Milan before noon, thus will have to take transfer in Ventimillia and Genoa (you can buy the first two routes from French authorities but must wait and buy the Genoa-Milan route from Italian authorities). There is also a Eurolines bus that goes direct to Milan first one arriving at 1:00 pm....you%26#39;ll need to book in advance though...it books three days in advance or more.
