Pyrenees

Has anyone been to Cauterets (Pyrenees) in late December before? We were looking at giving 2 young children a taste of the snow. We are in France anyway but if anyone can recommend somewhere at that time of year in the Pyrenees, would be v. grateful.

very risky re snow in late December there...you might be lucky....where are you going to be before that? if you are going to be in Paris or anywhere up north, it might make sense to go to Mt. Blanc, or to the Savoie...you could go to Annecy or Genoble...of course, with global warming, there is no guarantee either but a better shot of snow

not me, but Cauterets is a nice place to stay during summer because you have a lot of wonderfull walks starting from the village. But will the snow be present end of december ? Nobody knows ....

I would suggest also Bagneres de Luchon ....
