I need thoughts on nice hotels in the Marais for a young couple that likes a fun place to stay (we are going late December). So far I have come up with:
1. Murano
2. Hotel du Petit Moulin
3. Hotel Marceau Bastille
4. Pavillon de la Reine
Thanks in advance.

Well I read the reveiws on this site for the first two on your list. Have you read all the hotel reviews?
Frankly seems like a silly amount of money for hotel rooms with tacky stained shag carpet and bathrooms with no stand up showers. I guess some people don%26#39;t mind paying too much money to stay in what they consider trendy places. I also think the location may not be as great at one of them.
Read the reviews, type the hotel names in the search box on left side of this page.
YOu can find better for the money you seem to be willing to pay.

I agree with Joan1. The one thing I find missing from those hotels is the word %26quot;fun%26quot;. I don%26#39;t find any of the locations particularly %26quot;fun%26quot;, especially the Pavillon de la Reine which I%26#39;d describe as %26quot;formal%26quot; but not certainly not %26quot;fun%26quot;.
Consider the Hotel Bretonnerie*** - 22 rue St-Croix de la Bretonnerie 75004 - http://hotelbretonnerie.com/bretonnerie.htm
Hotel Duo*** - 11, rue du Temple 75004 - parismarais.com/hotels/…hotel_duo.htm
Hôtel St Merry*** - 78, rue de la Verrerie 75004 - http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/accueil.htm

Hotel Duo looks great. I%26#39;ll definitely check that out.
Thanks

Friends of mine stayed in the Hotel du Petit Moulin 2 years ago and liked it. Last year they could not a booking there and stayed in the Hotel St Merry that Metromole recommends and preferred it for the decor and the location so much closer to the Seine.
