Hello, I%26#39;m from Venezuela and I am planning to go to Paris for my honeymoon this december 23rd until december 30th. Please can you tell if it%26#39;s a good idea to go there even in winter. How about the weather? is it posible walking around the street and monuments with that weather?. Are the tours open during that time? I´m just worried because in the city I live in the temperature is always up 86°F and my girlfriend and I are not use to deal with such low temperatures, but still we would like to experience that. Can you suggest us what kind of clothes do we have to wear?? can we buy them at the airport once we get there??. This is our first time we travel in winter time so please help us with good advises!!!

December is a fine time to visit Paris. I would not suggest trying to buy clothing at the airport. You will need some warm clothing, so pack closed shoes or boots (not sandals) and socks to keep your feet warm, layers of clothing (shirts, sweaters/jumpers, jackets) that you can add as needed, and a warm jacket or coat. If you want to wait until you arrive, wear something warm enough to get you to your hotel, and then go shopping at one of the department stores for a jacket or coat. If you and your girlfriend wear jeans, that would work fine for day wear. You also will want a light rain jacket or umbrella in case it rains (which it probably will some of the time).
Everything should be open except for Christmas day. It%26#39;s easy to get from place to place on the Metro with only a small amount of walking, if you find it cold to be out of doors. I suggest you get a guidebook and see what museums and monuments interest you. The guidebook should show you which Metro stop is nearest, and you can plan your days that way.
Have fun, and congratulatons on your wedding.
