2BD / 2BA apartment rental

If anyone has happily rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in either the 6th or 7th arrondissements, would you please list the name of the apartment and/or its website? We are two women who are very good friends and, therefore, would like to be in the same apartment together, but we%26#39;d also like the option of %26quot;our own bed and bathroom.%26quot; Thanks for any suggestions!

Two bathrooms as well as two bedrooms is likely to be pricey (although there are a few with 1.5 bathrooms, which might work for you each to have your own space for makeup etc.). Try Vacation in Paris (www.vacationinparis.com) and Guest Apartment Services (www.guestapartment.com).

I totally understand. My friends and I are doing the same thing. I was able to find a two bedroom 1 bath on NYHABITAT.COM. It is very reasonable. We are going in October, so I%26#39;ll have to post how it was when we return. The apartment is in the 15th on rue Ginoux. Here%26#39;s the agency contact:

212-255-8018 ext. 139 (p)

646-349-2336 (f)

Is this for a vacation stay or longer - if it%26#39;s for a longer period I think you will struggle to find 2 bathrooms as this is extremely rare for a domestic lease, in my experience. You stand more chance in a vacation let, but the prices per week will probably be quite high as they %26quot;sacrifice%26quot; the possibility of an extra bed.

Good luck.

Just found this in another thread, from Charstorm: %26quot;I rented musee d’orsay apartment 117 from Vacation in Paris. Location, location, location. It was a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath apartment centrally located off St. Germain between the museum and Nationals Assemblies. The apartment was very clean, modern and roomy and you walked out the gate 5 steps to the metro stop. The only downside, retrospectively speaking, it that it was not a “neighborhood type” area and so seemed a little sterile compared to the Latin quarter.%26quot;

Thank you all for such helpful advice! I have followed through on the websites and found some very interesting apartments. I also found www.chezvous.com w/ some nice places, too. We%26#39;ll only be in Paris 7 to 10 days this time, so we don%26#39;t mind paying a little more for a nice place. In the end, actually, it will still be less expensive than the 3*** hotel we usually reserve. I%26#39;m emailing my %26quot;trove of apartments%26quot; to my friend in Canada and will let her choose the place, if an apt. is still the way we want to go. If we do decide on an apt., I%26#39;ll report back with our choice and will follow up with our %26quot;ratings%26quot; after the stay.

You might also look at the Vacation in Paris apartment called Luxembourg Splendor. It%26#39;s a great 2BR apt about 2 min walk from the gates of Luxembourg Gdn in the 6th on rue Vavin. Stayed there last fall and loved it.

If you don%26#39;t mind spending more for a nice place then try parisperfect.com. Most of their apartments are in the 7th.

We stayed in the St. Emillion with 4 people and it was cozy but, the view is to die for!
