Organised Cycling Tours

Any suggestions of good reliable companies.

Would prefer relatively flat or gentle terrain

I don%26#39;t remember anything about these on the forum, although it may just not have registered with me.

You can google these companies - but I%26#39;d be more inclined to search out the web sites of the major cycling magazines and send an email to them. You can also look in the back pages of outdoor magazines to see if they have any classified ads.

Additionally, Google travel and tour agencies that specialize in adventure tours.

Good luck.

Sorry, this cane to me just after I hit the submit button. Email Fat Tire Bile Tours - www,fattirebikdtoursparis.com - and asak them. If they don%26#39;t do what you%26#39;re looking for, odds are they%26#39;ll know who does.

Good luck.

These are some UK companies which I%26#39;ve come across, which offer guided or independent cycling holidays in France:

http://www.cycling-for-softies.co.uk/

http://www.hfholidays.co.uk/index.asp

www.headwater.com/all/activities/cycling.htm

thechaingang.co.uk/cycling-holidays/home.php

I think all but the last are part of larger groups and are bonded with ABTA http://www.abta.com/

Look at the Loire valley and Bordeaux areas for gentle terrain, but be guided by the route profiles for the individual holidays.

We%26#39;ve also done some independent cycling on the %26#39;Voies vertes%26#39; (green ways) in Burgundy, which are well mapped and there is bike hire locally.
