Carina Hotel Paris - Need some info!!

Hi all

Me and my partner have booked a three night break to Paris and are staying in the Carina.

Just looking for some info about the hotel and the area as neither of us have been to Paris before.

I know it is quite near the Eiffel Tower (well, so lastminute.com says) but we%26#39;d like to know more from people who have actually been there themselves.

Also, we are flying there and will be coming in at Charles De Gualle Airport. How far is the hotel from the airport? We%26#39;d like to get the train/metro. Can anyone give us some directions...

Thanks in advance for any advise you can give us....

This location, near metro: Charles Michels, is just over a kilometer to the Eiffel, so it%26#39;s in the same general area of Paris but not just down the street.

There%26#39;s no direct way to get there by rail, here are some options:

(prices estimated, didn%26#39;t look %26#39;em up)

1. If you really want to rail all the way, then take RER-B from CDG to stop Denfert-Rochereau, then transfer over to Metro line 6, to stop Dupleix. The Dupleix is a little further to walk from then Charles Michel but it would only be maybe a 600-mtr walk, about 10 minutes. Print a good map route from www.mappy.com (8€)

2. Take Air France coach to Arc de T/Etoile, then metro line 6 to Dupleix. This might be fun b/c you can see the Eiffel as you cross the Seine above ground on the way to your stop. (12€ + 1.5€)

3. If you want to do it fairly easy but hold down the cost, then take AF bus to Etoile or Montparnasse (whichever departs next from CDG) then just take a taxi to the doorstep. The taxi will probably cost 10-15€. Of course the total cost will only be 10-15€ less than just taking a taxi from CDG, so is it worth it?

Thanks for your help....

Anyone have an info about things to do there.

Clubs/restuarants/must see%26#39;s other than the obvious tourist attractions etc etc...

Thanks again
