I%26#39;m a novice to Paris and just wondering if anyone with a knowlege of the area could tell me how far it would be from the Palais Des Congres where the bus has its drop offs to the Latin Qtr.. Would a taxi be the best option, how far apart are these two places????
Any help would be gratefully accepted.. :-)
Thanks,
Suzie

One assumes that you are arriving at BVA airport and taking the BVA Shuttle to it%26#39;s Porte Maillot drop off point on Blvd Pershing, near Palais des Congrès.
Distance probably isn%26#39;t the issue...more likely cost and relative convenience will be. The probable fare for a Taxi Parisian from the regular taxi rank near the BVA Shuttle drop off, to the Hotel Agora Saint Germain, 42 rue des Bernadies (btwn: rue Monge %26amp; rue des Écoles) 75005, Metro: Maubert-Mutualité, will probably run 15-20 € (depending on day or night arrival).
There really is no %26#39;..direct..%26#39; Metro, RER or bus connection to the neighborhood. There%26#39;s an RER %26#39;C%26#39; ligne connection %26#39;(..M xxx..%26#39; train heading in the direction of Massy Palaiseau---%26#39;..B xxx..%26#39; train heading in the direction of Bretigny) from the NEUILLY-PORTE MAILLOT RER station to the SAINT MICHEL-NOTRE DAME RER station...and then a several block walk (south) to the hotel.
The alternative is #1 Metro ligne (heading in the direction of Vincennes to CHATELET, then change over to the #4 Metro ligne (heading in the direction of Porte d%26#39;Orleans) to SAINT MICHEL...then the several block walk to the hotel (or change lignes again from Sint Michel through to Cluny-La Sorbonne station to the #10 ligne (heading in the direction of Gare d%26#39;Austerlitz) to MAUBERT-MUTUALITÉ. None of these routes present exactly elegant solutions.

Thank you so much for your informative reply. I think looking at that it would probably be alot easier to get a taxi to the hotel, now that I know it should only cost 20 euro I don%26#39;t mind, my sense of direction isn%26#39;t the best so I think it would be safer seen as there is not a direct metro line.
Thanks for your help,
Suzie
