philpetrus and hospitalier: I read your answers re going to Lourdes and they%26#39;re very helpful and informative, many thanks to people like you. My hubby and I are past 60s but healthy; me being Catholic wants to visit Lourdes for 2 days this Oct.%26#39;07 (possibly 10/13-16/17). We%26#39;ll book our own flt fr Saudi Arabia ( where we%26#39;re working) to CDG and back. We%26#39;ll book our hotel: will appreciate if you can recommend/suggest any affordable/reasonably price hotel where we can walk to the Grotto.
hospitalier: you suggest to fly fr Orly (CDG?) to Lourdes, how far is the airport to main streets or hotel (walking distance to the Grotto) and how much it cost, please.
philpetrus and hospitalier: in our 3 days/2 nts in Lourdes, any suggestion on how/where we can well spend our time other than visiting the shrine/grotto?
Million thanks for any assistance you can extend us.

well Tabukercon, i%26#39;m sorry to disappoint you, but i have no idea about Lourdes the town. Never been here. Have heard there are many %26quot;souvenirs%26quot; shops but as i am not catholic, i have no interest in visiting such a town.
About the flight, i think Orly-Lourdes is much more expensive than Orly or CDG to Pau. But of course you use a taxi for your final destination. You can also rent a car and go to Cauterets and surroundings, beautifull walks there ....

philpetrus: many thanks but we decided to put it off for now but we%26#39;ll go one day; probably next year.
Keep smiling. Many thanks again.
