Does anyone know of a gym in Paris that allows visitors?

We will be in Paris for a 2 nt. stay in November and will be staying in either the St. Germain area or by Condorde/Madeleine. The only hotels with gyms seem to be the big, v. expensive hotels like the InterContinental or Park Hyatts. I would like to stay in a 3-4 star hotel in either area and then just go to a gym in the morning.

Any suggestions?

ps: I know we will be walking all around Paris and will get plenty of exercise that way but my boyfriend is a gym fanatic and this was his only request...

Thanks!

Thought I would help out here so I did a Google search for you and found quite a lot of fitness clubs/gyms etc and then I thought that you should be a bit more pro-active and do this for yourself!

Try Googling %26#39;Paris Gyms%26#39;, %26#39;Paris Fitness Gyms%26#39;, %26#39;Paris Public Gyms%26#39; and see what you can come up with.

Perhaps your BF would enjoy exercising his typing fingers on that one!

Dear %26quot;Essex-Wanderer%26quot; - uh.... thanks... I guess.

Call me crazy but I thought the point of the Forum was to offer advice to sincere requests for information/assistance, rather than ridicule people.

All- It looks like the Club Med Gyms allow visitors to work out there. Here is their response to an email I sent them last week asking about their gyms in Paris. It is good to see that they have so many locations!:

%26quot;Hello,

We have 22 gyms in Paris which offer about 50 activities, and especially those you want to do. We invite you to go and see one of our gyms as soon as you are in Paris and meet our representatives there, who will be happy to help you.

You can join for a day, the fee per day is 25 Euros for Club Med Gym and 32 Euros for Waou gyms.

You can find the list of our gyms on our website www.clubmedgym.com, in the CLUBS section, and the activities in the ACTIVITES section.

We look forward to meeting you in one of our centers.

Best regards

If I can do a google search for information for you, why can%26#39;t you do it for yourself? You seem to be adept enough with a computer to find your way to TA.

If you look around this forum, there are many people who advise OP%26#39;s to do google searches for stuff. What is wrong with that, or with suggesting an EASY way that you can find out a little bit more information for yourself?
