I%26#39;ve read how to get from Giverny to Paris. We hope to stay overnight close to Giverny, see the sights, and proceed to the Premiere Classe hotel near the Beauvais airport before flying out in the morning. Can anyone tell me how feasible this is via public transportation, and how I might research buses? Thanks - Ann

Without a rental car what public transportation there is in the area will be primarily regional bus service...with %26#39;..clunky..%26#39; connections AT BEST...and impossible at worst....to BEAUVAIS

Giverny is almost impossible to reach by public transport, %26amp; Beauvais airport is only easily accessible by bus from Porte Maillot in Paris. It would be better to rent a car.

Giverny is relatively easy to reach by public transportation---SNCF train direct from PARIS-Gare Saint Lazare to VERNON station (45 mins) then regional bus from just outside of the Vernon station doors to the front gate of Monet%26#39;s Home %26amp; Gardens in GIVERNY (15 mins)

BUT...once in the region, trying to make your way around via regional bus service...or trying to get from the VERNON / Giverny area out to BVA is nearly impossible....except as noted---to return to Paris to start....either via BVA SHUTTLE or a clunky SNCF connection from PARIS-Gare du Nord to BEAUVAIS station, then regional bus from the Beauvais train station out to BVA airport....OR....go on to ROUEN from VERNON by train and then try to make a train connection back to BEAUVAIS from ROUEN (not impossible...but very messy).
There%26#39;s a %26#39;..rocket factory..%26#39; in the Vernon area...and it appears that trying to get around the region by public transportation really is %26#39;..rocket science..%26#39;.
