Paris pass -worth it?

Hi just need a little bit of advice about the paris pass. Is it worth getting? I will be in paris for 2.5 days and wonder is it a good thing to get. I plan on packing in as much as possible and using the metro to get around. Thanks for any help

You%26#39;re the only one who can decide that - it all depends on how you plan to spend your days in Paris.

Public transport: you can buy passes for unlimited metro/bus/RER travel within Paris at most metro stations. A day pass (%26quot;mobilis%26quot;) for zones 1-2 (all of central Paris) costs € 5.60; there are also %26quot;Paris Visite%26quot; passes for 1, 2, 3 or 5 days, and for zones 1-3 and 1-6. These have some added perks and are a bit more expensive, but a 2-day pass for zones 1-3 still costs only €13.95 ((€18.60 for 3 days). More info on www.ratp.fr

How many museums are you planning to visit? Most or all Paris museums have websites, where you can find the admittance fee - typically 8 to 10 euro per adult.

By the way, to add to the confusion there are several different passes like the %26quot;Paris Pass%26quot; (www.parispass.fr), the %26quot;Paris Museum Pass%26quot; (www.parismuseumpass.com) and others.

An added advantage of these passes can be, that you can bypass the sometimes long queues - the main museums like Musée d%26#39;Orsay, Louvre, Orangerie, etc. can be very busy.

The musuem pass was invaluable to us. We didn%26#39;t %26quot;save%26quot; too much money as we only hit 2 musuems per day but it saved us hours of time waiting in the lines. The only musuem we stood in a line was l%26#39;orangerie, and it was a priority line (15 min.) that superceeded the regular line. It%26#39;s a must if you are on a time crunch.
