We are a group of ten friends who will be travelling to Paris next February. I was interested in setting up shuttle service to and from CDG. I contacted the hotel we will be staying at regarding a quote for shuttle service. They have emailed me back and noted with would be 17 Euros per person. I am thinking this is each way. If so is this a good price or should I contact a shuttle service directly.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are good public transport links to the airport (eg the RER). Have you considered the alternatives to a shuttle bus? Most European visitors would consider a shuttle bus unnecessary and simply take the train, which would most likely be quicker in any case.

That%26#39;s the going rate.
There are other means of transportation depending upon the location of your hotel.

As noted, 17€ is about the average price PER PERSON, for a ONE-WAY (most likely predicated on a round-trip reservation) for airport shuttle services.
Most airport shuttle services use vans that will accommodate up-to eight(8) passengers (and a modest amount of luggage when a van is that full)...so odds are that a shutttle company will send two(2) vans to collect your party. With this in mind, make certain that each party has a copy of the same page, from the hotel%26#39;s web site, with hotel name and address to hand to the drivers so there is no chance of confusion with destination.

If everyone packs lightly, has been in large cities before and are comfortable carrying/rolling their bags then I would opt for the RER or Roissybus if you are staying near the terminus of either. But if there is the least hesitation (remember the 11+ hr flight and jet lag),I%26#39;d opt for a shuttle for the group. I%26#39;m printing business cards with hotel address, phone number and district for our group so that if we opt for a taxi, they can hand the cad to the driver and avoid confusion. Make sure everyone has a copy of your hotel address and phone number. Also, place this inside your luggage tag in cae it is lost-otherwise, the airline may try to contact you at home!
