cdg to paris lyon, paris est to paris montparnasse transfer

I will be arriving at CDG on 10 oct by AF147 from Delhi, India at 06:05. I will have to catch a train from Paris Lyon for Geneva at 08:40. How I will reach Paris Lyon? Cab or Air France Transfer? What is the cab cost?

On 28 oct, I will be arriving at Paris Est at 09:45. After that I will have to catch a train from Paris Monparnasse at 11:25. Besides metro, are there any possibility like cab or coach?

In both the cases, I will be accompanied by my wife and son and lots of luggage.

Thanks to you in advance for answering my queries,

Regards,

Sivaji

The %26#39;..catch..%26#39; to the #4--Les Cars Air France Coach route from CDG to its drop-off point, across the square from PARIS-Gare de Lyon is the %26#39;..schedule..%26#39;. If you clear French Immigration, collect your luggage and clear French Customs (say 45 mins.??)...you then have to %26#39;..catch..%26#39; the #4 AFC...which has a frequency of running once-every-30 minutes. The average AFC run-time from CDG to PARIS-Gare de Lyon will be 45-55 mins.So it%26#39;s certainly possible that you could make your 08:40 train via the AFC transfer method....but if the %26#39;..gods-of-travel..%26#39; align against you, it could get dicey.

An alternative would be the RER %26#39;B%26#39; ligne train to GARE du NORD (8,20€) then Taxi Parisian from the regular taxi rank there %26#39;cross town to Gare de Lyon (approx 10-12 €)

The average Taxi Parisian fare from CDG to Gare de Lyon will run 40-50 €..40-50 mins (depending on the vageries of traffic).

For the GARE de l%26#39;EST to GARE MONTPARNASSE transfer, the only %26#39;..direct..%26#39; public transportation connection will be via the #4-Metro ligne (heading in the direction of Porte d%26#39;OrlĂ©ans) to MONTPARNASSE-BIENVENUE station...with long-ish Correspondances from the SNCF portion of Gare de l%26#39;Est station to the #4 Metro ligne departure platforms....and than another looong Correspondance from the MONTPARNASSE-BIENVENUE Metro station to the SNCF portion of Gare Montparnasse. There are no %26#39;..direct..%26#39; public bus route connection (at least one bus change en route). Taxi Parisian fare %26#39;cross town from Gare de l%26#39;Est to Gare Montparnasse should run 15€ or so.

K...

How about RER B to Chatelet and Metro Line 1? Chatelet is a confusing station, but this would be faster than getting a taxi involved.

Just looked that up on RATP and they say 52 minutes.

It%26#39;s certainly possible...but the Correspondance from the CHATELET- Les HALLES RER portion of the station to the #1 ligne platforms at the CHATELET Metro portion of the station is probably one of the longest and most convoluted in the system.

BUT...now that you mention it....the RER %26#39;B%26#39; to CHATELET-Les HALLES RER...with a quick ligne switch over to the RER %26#39;A%26#39; or %26#39;D%26#39; ligne to GARE de LYON would work.
