We went to Rome last year in March and it was perfect. Warm %26amp; not crowded. Now we%26#39;re thinking of trying Paris the same month, but had some concerns about rain. The tour book said it was a rainy month. Would April be better? Thanks for any advice.

We went in March 2006 for spring break. I believe the 12-19 or so. It was sunny but cold.

Waiting a month probably won%26#39;t make for a dime%26#39;s worth of difference in the temperatures and the weather in Paris.
April and May will likely not be much better than March. Paris generally doesn%26#39;t warm up into the warm spring-like weather on a consistent basis until June. Of course, you could get lucky, but I never have during that time of year in Paris.
One thing%26#39;s fairly certain: you won%26#39;t get the type of weather you experienced in Rome in March...in Paris in March, April and probably May.

I spent a spring semester of college in Paris from January to July. the weather did not get consistently sunny, and the days warm, until May. Paris takes on a much better appearance when it is sunny, the leaves are on the trees, and the cafes have their tables out on the sidewalk.

The weather is changeable, but typically March will is rainy and cold. April is similar to March and if you do see sunny days it will be cold and perhaps New York is colder even. If you can visit in May or June the weather should improve.

March or April makes no difference....it will be cold and rainy or maybe a little sunny but much colder....either way you will find less tourists or crowds.
Just pack an umbrella and gloves and a hat and you can see all the museums you like with lesser crowds than the summer months!
Have a great time!

I forgot to note that I went in May and June and July and it did not warm up til the third week of June!
Weather is very changeable from year to year in Paris.
You may get much cheaper airfare in March. I sure did !
