Hotel in Latin Quarter

Will be staying in Paris for three nights from Dec 16. Want to stay in Latin Quarter and have read hotel reviews, but have ended up confusing myself in trying to make a selection. So, my fellow Trippers, if you had to give a quick recommendation of an hotel in the area, what would it be?

Thank you all very much for your help.

A very nice, pleasant and quiet 3-star close to Place St. Michel and the Musee Cluny is the Hotel Parc St. Severin. I know, using the word %26#39;quiet%26#39; and Place St. Michel in the same sentence sounds like an oxymoron, but my wife and I have stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions, and loved it each time.

Got any sort of hotel budget / price range for this hotel ?? 75-100€ ??...100-150 € ...150-200 ??...200-300€ ???...2-star?...3-star?...4-star?....Any personal preferences, priorities, special needs ?? And by %26quot;..Latin Quarter..%26quot; do you mean only the 5eme arrondissement--Latin Quarter ??....OR... the general---more generic---area of the Left Bank to include BOTH the 5eme-Latin Quarter AND 6eme-Saint Germain des Prés arrondissements??

There are so many mid-range hotels in the area, and often little to separate them. I%26#39;d recommend the Minerve Hotel or the Hotel College de France.

Does the Hotel Parc St. Severin have a website? Can%26#39;t seem to find one.

Hotel Parc St. Severin does not have its own dedicated website. They participate in some sort of French hotels website, though the url escapes my memory at the moment.

Candidly, I%26#39;ve always just dealt with them by phone and fax directly.

Add this to your Favorites list for future reference.

The HÔTEL PARC SAINT SÉVERIN (3-star) is one of the ESPRIT de PARIS hotel group properties.

Thanks, kdksail, that%26#39;s the url I couldn%26#39;t remember....

I recommend Hotel des Grandes Ecoles. they ahve a web site so you can see photos.

Consider the Crystal Hotel in St Germain des Pres - well worth a look at the reviews.
