My husband and I plan a trip to France next summer and the b and b we need to make the deposit at want the money in Euros, they don%26#39;t take credit cards. How can I get a cashiers check or money order in Euros?

You order a bank draft. Whether your local bank have this service or not, I don%26#39;t know. You can also send by wire transfer, which is more likely to be available, but more costly and you need the B%26amp;B%26#39;s bank name, address, a/c# etc. maybe they%26#39;ll take paypal.

Ok, thanks for the info. I%26#39;ve checked US Bank and they don%26#39;t seem to be able to accomodate so I will check with others.

I do get tired of all the %26quot;full service%26quot; banks in America that aren%26#39;t. What you%26#39;re asking for is just a simple ordinary banking service that you should be able to expect them to do, at any time, without any song and dance.
One thing you can do if all else fails is get some Euro travelers checks (try your local Triple A office) and fill in the %26quot;Pay to%26quot; line with their name, sign and counter sign your signature in the appropriate places and then endorse the back with %26quot;For deposit only to the account of...their name%26quot; and let them worry about getting the stupid things dealt with on their end.
If they are endorsed, TCs are perfectly safe to send by registered mail or by courier - you declare them as being documents. Make copies of both sides of all the TCs before you send them and take the copies as well as the receipt for the registered mail or courier waybill with you.
Bon voyage.

Contact these people. They are specialist in the area of exchanging currencies and foreign drafts at very reasonable prices..

We go to AAA and they make an order to Reusch International. You pay AAA and pick the check up at AAA. They do the exchange and there is a charge from Reusch as well. The check is in euros and is made out to the B %26amp; B with your name on it.Then you send it yourself.

If it%26#39;s not too large a sum, get some euro notes from your bank (surely they can do this.....) and send them insured airmail.

No one will honour a claim for a mailed piece containing currency, so there%26#39;s no reason to waste the extra charge for insurance.
From the US, I%26#39;ve used USPS Global Priority - it%26#39;s trackable, and usually arrives within a week, and the smaller (letter-sized) envelope is about $5.
The Ruesch International is the best option if you cannot obtain Euros and your hosts don%26#39;t accept PayPal.
